Notre Dame VS Michigan State 2016: Start Time, TV Schedule, How To Watch, And Game Thread

For the first time since 2013, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Michigan State Spartans are going to battle over a megaphone filled with skittles.

Matt Cashore-USA TODAY Sports

This is supposed to be a big game. Two, top 20 schools facing off in the early part of the season under the lights. That should call for a whole mess of national coverage, and several generous pinches of hype. However... that isn't exactly the case.

Notre Dame already has a loss, and Michigan State has only played one game and that game was against Furman. Sure, the Michigan State Spartans are ranked #12 in the country, but most of the country is all... meh on Sparty. I mean, there isn't a whole lot to love outside of a few really, really good players. WE DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEM- and that makes this game hard to put a finger on it by anyone. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are better than a touchdown favorite to win this per Las Vegas, but even that line is suspect.

There are more than a handful of outstanding games set for this weekend, so I guess, this matchup may only get the hype it deserves from the two fanbases. That's cool... this one may get brutal.

When is the game and how can I watch?

Game Date / Time: September 17, 2016 7:30
