We all love it when the big boys make a play and get their hands on the ball. Reminiscent of Stephon Tuitt’s touchdown interception versus Michigan in 2013, Jarron Jones grabbed a reached up and plucked the pass out of the air inside the Nevada 10 yard line. That led to this:
That’s true freshman Kevin Stepherson pulling down his first touchdown in the blue and gold. If you weren’t impressed by his speed when outran Kizer’s arm on the interception, he shows some great hands here, hanging on despite the pop by the Nevada defender.
It looks like the future is bright for Kevin Stepherson, who received his share of praise from the coaches after a productive spring and summer. His contributions are needed in a wide receiver core that is talented but inexperienced, especially with the absence of Torii Hunter Jr.
The Irish lead 18-0 following the touchdown pass.
