Before the season began, Coach Kelly announced that the honor of wearing the #1 jersey for the Irish this fall would be decided by the coaching staff and given to a different player each week. Last week's honorary #1 was James Onwualu. Today, cornerback Cole Luke will be #1 in your program.

Meanwhile, several guys will be getting their first starts agains the Woflpack.

The surprise here is Coney, who starts in place of Greer Martini. Additionally, junior wide receiver Corey Holmes will start in place of Torii Hunter Jr., who is sitting out the Nevada game as a result of the concussion he sustained during the Texas game.
