While I don’t see any MASSIVE surprises, it is very telling that Kelly has put most of the “Fulton County Five” on the two deep for Texas. Ashton White and Max Redfield (Redfield for obvious reasons) are the two that are not listed here.

A few names that pop out that we haven’t heard much about are:

Jalen Elliot SS
Jamir Jones SAM
Mark Harrell C

They may just be “names” at this point to keep them involved. If something happened to Tranquill, the likely scenario is that Sebastian moves to SS and Studstill moves up as the starter at FS. The same can be said of Jamir Jones. If something happens to Onwualu, the likely scenario there would probably be that Martini moves over to the SAM and Bilal moves up to start at the WILL.

Another interesting move is having Sanders at both punt return and kickoff return. We were lead to believe that this probably wouldn’t be the case and yet- here we are.

As with every depth chart, this is probably fluid, and of course the quarterback thing is still a thing. Brian Kelly seems to think that this will be “dynamic” and until proven otherwise, we should approach it with caution.
