CJ Holmes tried trolling Irish fans a few weeks ago when he left the Notre Dame Fighting Irish off of his top 3 list. The truth of the matter, was that Holmes was "trolling" in a much older sense. Holmes went fishing.
Holmes chose Notre Dame over the Michigan Wolverines, Tennessee Volunteers, Alabama Crimson Tide, and many more programs from all over the country.
Holmes is an electric athlete and rated as a 4 star running back (or athlete) by every major recruiting service. The 6'0 195 ponder from Cheshire Academy in Connecticut, will provide instant quality depth on offense and special teams.

Holmes is the 14th commitment for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in their incoming 2017 class, and the lone running back thus far. The class is currently ranked 7th in the country by 247.
We will have more on the impact of this commitment and, perhaps, other commitments that come out of this weekends The Opening.
