C.J. Prosise fulfilled a NFL dream today after being selected by the Seattle Seahawks with the 27th pick of the 3rd Round.
He came to Notre Dame from Woodberry Forest High School in Virginia as the No. 22 safety and No. 359 overall recruit in the country. Prosise was recruited as a safety, briefly moved to linebacker, and settled early in his on-field career as a slot receiver where he caught 36 passes from 2013-14. Last year, the Irish moved Prosise to running back where he exploded unlike any other player in recent memory. At one point, he was on pace to shatter several school records but injuries limited to a still-healthy 1,029 yards and 11 touchdowns on just 157 carries.
Congratulations to C.J. and his family!
