Jaylon Smith fulfilled a NFL dream today after being selected by the Dallas Cowboys with the 3rd pick of the 2nd Round.
He came to Notre Dame from Bishop Luers High School in Fort Wayne, Indiana as the No. 1 outside linebacker and No. 2 overall recruit in the country. A three-year starter, Smith had an extremely decorated career in the blue and gold culminating the Butkus Award in 2015 as the nation's top linebacker. Jaylon is currently rehabbing a serious knee injury suffered early in the Fiesta Bowl but leaves behind 292 tackles while at Notre Dame.
Congratulations to Jaylon and his family!
