BREAKING: DL Grant Blankenship Suspended from ND Football

News broke today that Grant Blankenship was suspended from the football team.

Notre Dame defensive end Grant Blankenship has been suspended from the team for a violation of team rules. As of right now, it is unclear what the violation was and whether he will return to the team or not.

After appearing in 11 games as a true freshman, Grant saw his playing time drop significantly as a Sophomore, seeing action in only three games. Grant was rated as a 4-star recruit in the 247 Composite.

Once again, this places a strain on the depth at defensive end. Look for a young player such as Daelin Hayes or Khalid Kareem to see an increase in playing time moving forward.
