Instant Reaction: Notre Dame Loses To Navy 28-27

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish should just burn the rest of the season down after losing to the Navy Midshipmen 28-27.

You could see this game coming 100 miles away. Well, you could at least see this thing coming sometime in the third quarter. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish lose to the Navy Midshipmen 28-27, and it was pure torture on a very unAmerican level.

For all the “4 wins in 52 years” talk from CBS, the most telling stat is that Navy has won 4 times in the past 10 years. That is twice in the Brian Kelly era and two times in the Charlie Weis era.

Not great company to be in.

Of course this game came down to bad coaching, and poor coaching decisions. Any talk of THIS IS NAVY YOU SHOULD BEAT NAVY is actually crap in my eyes. Navy is a good football team and they do what they do best- eat up clock and ground out yards. It’s a tough out and would have been Notre Dame’s best win all year.

Jack Swarbrick has already stated that Brian Kelly will be back in 2017, but he spoke too soon as Brian Kelly decided to kick a field goal instead of going for a touchdown. That is the second dumb move of that nature from Kelly this season, with the other coming against the Michigan State Spartans.

We will have much more on this game and of course the future of the program. For now, all we have is an instant reaction, and I’m surprised I was even able to hold it together for that. The future looks awful and everything sucks. Irish football 2016.

Notre Dame loses to Navy. Burn the thing down.
