Staff Picks: Notre Dame VS Navy

Just a quick glance at the staff pick total to date would suggest that we are one yahoo away from being reclassified as a group of mental hospital runaways that are hiding in a basement with a solid internet connection.

Please hold your “this ain’t the old staff man” comments until you have at least read the rest of this thing. Well, that’s if you’re still reading at all.

So, the record aren’t so great and I doubled up the number of games to pick last week to close out the second half of the season. No doubt the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and our loyalty to them have made us look pretty bad thus far- but that is only half of the reason. The truth is, that despite Notre Dame’s season being crappy, the college football season in general has been pretty good.

This week, we see a very polarizing look at the triple option. All but one staffer took North Carolina over Georgia Tech, and all but one staffer took Notre Dame over Navy. So... Brad and I are your wild cards this week as we gear up for option football and college games that should be played on college campuses actually played in an NFL Stadium. That last part is getting old, but not going away any time soon.
