How Last Week’s Picks Fared
James Onwualu - 10 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, 1 sack, 1 FF
Jarron Jones - 10 tackles, 1 tackle for loss,
Equanimeous St. Brown - 6 receptions, 90 yards
Equanimeous St. Brown - WR

St. Brown had a tough matchup last week with Virginia Tech, but still managed to gain 90 yards on six receptions. It doesn’t get any easier this weekend with USC’s Adoree Jackson, but Notre Dame has firsthand of exposing Jackson. Last year Will Fuller had three receptions for 131 yards and a touchdown. In that game Fuller burned Jackson on the first play for a 75-yard touchdown. In USC’s win over No.4 Washington, the Huskies’ John Ross torched Jackson for a 70-yard touchdown. Notre Dame should try and take their shots down field with St. Brown against Jackson.
Isaac Rochell - DL

This is Rochell’s last game donning the gold and blue, so he will want to go out with a bang. This is his last chance to come up with a big game. He will have a tough task going up against USC’s mammoth offensive line. If Notre Dame wants any shot of pulling off an upset, they’re going to need to get pressure on Sam Darnold and make him uncomfortable; that starts with with Rochell and Co.
DeShone Kizer - QB

It’s not the best matchup for Kizer as USC is one of the hottest teams in the country. That being said this could be Kizer’s last game in a Notre Dame uniform, so look for him to give us one more great performance. He, along with the rest of the Irish offense, has been able to get off to great starts this season. Unfortunately those hot starts haven’t translated into great games. He needs to play a full four quarters and look for him to do that against the Trojans.
