Cole Luke Interception Leads to Irish TD

Apparently revitalized by the bye week, the Irish go up on the ‘Canes 17-0 in the first quarter

The bye week seems to have really energized the Fighting Irish. The defense, in particular, really came to play today. Miami has managed all of -10 yards on the day as of the time of this post, as Jarron Jones has registered multiple TFLs. Cole Luke punctuated the outstanding early play of the defense with an interception that put the Irish offense in a great position:

After a few penalties and some confusion, DeShone Kizer made the Hurricanes pay with an absolute laser to Equanimeous St. Brown:

It’s quite apparent at this point that Brian Kelly and his staff took full advantage of the off week. The Miami Hurricanes, admittedly, are on a bit of a tailspin, having lost three straight. However, they are still a talented team that took Florida State to the wire.

Now we see if the Notre Dame defense can keep up the intensity and continue to stifle Brad Kaaya and the Miami offense.
