The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are in need of more talent. Heck- who doesn’t need more talent? Alabama doesn’t count.
After having two huge recruiting weekends already in their pocket, Notre Dame has a much smaller group coming in for their game against the Miami Hurricanes. The Michigan State game and the Stanford game were monstrous recruiting weekends that produced two commitments- and one of them already decommitted.
Perhaps a smaller group will prove to be more beneficial to the coaching staff this week as it tries to get so many different things fixed- or at least duct taped. The only prospect for the 2017 incoming class that will be here is wide receiver, Noah Igbinoghene.
That’s it for 2017. That seems extremely light for a game of this nature- or just the fact that it’s a home game, but they do have prospects from the 2018 class as well.
- 5 Star Quarterback Phil Jurkovec COMMITTED
- 3 Star Linebacker Ovie Oghoufo COMMITTED
- 4 Star Defensive Tackle Michael Thompson
- 3 Star Defensive Back Kyle Dobbins
- 3 Star Defensive Back Tyrick Henderson
- 3 Star Wide Receiver Johnny Ford
- 4 Star Cornerback Brendan Radley-Hiles
- 4 Star Tight End James Mitchell
- Linebacker Brian AsaMoah
- Tight End TJ Ivy
There will also be a handful of 2019 recruits- but that’s 2019.
Notre Dame could certainly use another athlete on the roster, but given the numbers game that the Irish are playing with the scholarship count, those “numbers” could be used in other areas of desperate need.
