If you looked away, you missed another touchdown. This time it was CJ Sanders taking a kickoff back 92 yards for a touchdown.
Sanders has proven to be electric in the return game both this year and last, with both kickoff and punt returns for touchdowns. He’s also bart of a wide receiving core that is seemingly finding itself early in this one, along with Torii Hunter Jr. and Equanimeous St. Brown.
If I know anything about Brian Kelly, he’ll continue to try to establish the run. The offensive line has provided Kizer with plenty of time and protection, but the Josh Adams hasn’t had much of a chance to show what he can do in space.
And hey, the defense forced a punt! The Notre Dame defense definitely needs more of that, as they get off the field and get a breather.
Speaking of, you might want to take a deep breath. We’re only six-or-so minutes into this one.
