How last week’s picks fared
Nyles Morgan - 10 tackles, 1 sack, 1 tackle for loss
Equanimeous St. Brown - 6 catches, 116 yard, 1 TD, 1 fumble
Isaac Rochell - 5 tackles, 0 sacks, 0 quarterback hurries
DeShone Kizer - QB

Brian VanGorder may be gone, but Notre Dame’s defense is still well below average. Because of this Kizer and the Irish offense will need to put up points to keep up with Syracuse’s high tempo offensive attack. Surprisingly, the Orange’s defense ranks lower than Notre Dame. Kizer will have plenty of chances to light up the nation’s 111th ranked defense.
Dexter Williams - RB

According to Brian Kelly, Williams was the only player to play with any passion last Saturday against Duke. Kelly also said that the Irish must get Williams more touches going forward. In limited time Williams has rushed for 83 yards on just 13 attempts (6.4 per attempt). He’s also rushed for two touchdowns. The Orange are currently giving up 5.4 yards per carry and a little over 200 rushing yards per game. We should see more of the sophomore running back this week, so Williams will get his opportunity to produce.
C.J Sanders - WR

I’m going with all offense this week. Until the defense shows some form of competence I’ll be staying away from picking any defenders. Outside of the fumble against Michigan State, Sanders has been fantastic all season. He’s been a dangerous weapon in the slot and in the return game, as he’s averaged 127 all purpose yards per game. Sanders is going to have a big game against Syracuse’s suspect pass game. Look for the sophomore to get 80-90 yards, at least one touchdown and a punt return for a touchdown as well.
