Women's Hoops Completes 28-2 Regular Season

The Lady Irish finished the regular season with a 28-2 record, 15-1 in the ACC, and won the regular season conference title. Postseason play starts this week with the ACC Tournament.

The Notre Dame Women's Basketball Team finished their regular season with a 67-60 win over NC State. The win clinched the ACC Regular Season Championship outright and the #1 seed in the upcoming ACC Tournament in Greensboro, NC. The tournament begins on Wednesday, but Notre Dame won't have their first game until Friday afternoon. The Lady Irish will begin play in the tournament against the winner of the Miami-Virginia game. Miami was the only team to beat ND during conference play, so there's a chance the team will get a chance to avenge the loss on Friday. The semifinals will take place Saturday afternoon on ESPNU, and the championship is Sunday on ESPN. As the #1 seed, the Irish are definitely the favorite to repeat as ACC Tournament Champions, although Florida State or Louisville will definitely pose a challenge. A tournament victory would most likely give ND a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
