The suspension is not academic and according to the media Guyton is expected to transfer from Notre Dame effectively immediately as the fall semester comes to an end.
The receiver from Allen, Texas committed to the Irish on March 30, 2014 and was one of 4 receivers to sign with the program in 2015. While classmates Equanimeous St. Brown and C.J. Sanders saw the field this season, Guyton took a redshirt along with Miles Boykin.
If Guyton does leave Notre Dame it will be a small hit to the Irish depth at receiver, but the position is still stocked with quality talent especially if Will Fuller comes back for his senior season.
