Welcome back to another edition of the One Foot Down Recruiting Big Board for Irish Football.

Outside Linebacker
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.965 Porter Gustin UT 6-5/240 Mild
.955 Jeffery Holland FL 6-2/230 Cold
.985 John Houston CA 6-3/211 Cold
.993 Malik Jefferson TX 6-2/215 Cold
.970 Osa Masina UT 6-4/230 Cold
.868 Arthur McGinnis LA 6-2/226 Cold
.890 Cassius Peat AZ 6-4/235 Cold
.872 Bo Wallace LA 6-3/215 Mild

Notre Dame gained some ground with Porter Gustin when he took an official visit for the Michigan game a few weeks ago. He's now lined up an official visit to USC for the Notre Dame game so that'll be another opportunity to impress him. Gustin still has to schedule 3 more visits with Ohio State believed to be a sure thing for one of those trips.

Jeffrey Holland has visited Florida several times unofficially and is coming off another unofficial visit to Florida State 2 weekends ago. He does have an official visit lined up to Auburn this weekend. However, Holland remarked recently that he and CeCe Jefferson will be attending the same school (grain of salt, obviously) which bodes well for the Gators.

USC remains the heavy favorite for John Houston but that won't stop him from taking official visits to 3 schools: Oklahoma, Oregon, and Florida State. He's scheduled to travel to Eugene on October 17th.

Wisconsin and USC are the teams getting an official visit from Osa Masina in the future.

Don't expect any visits soon from Arthur McGinnis who said a couple weeks ago that he'll wait until after his senior season to take officials. The Irish remain in the mix for one of those visits but he's already committing to see Oklahoma and UCLA.

The John Curtis No-Visit In-Season Policy remained in tact recently as Bo Wallace was unable to make it to the Michigan game.

The Irish should almost certainly be among his top teams once his football season is over. Hopefully he will come to the awards banquet in December.

Corner
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.919 Micah Abernathy GA 6-1/187 Cold
.943 Frank Buncom IV CA 6-1/190 Mild
.946 Holton Hill TX 6-2/184 Cold
.997 Iman Marshall CA 6-1/190 Mild
.985 Tavarus McFadden FL 6-3/198 Cold
.991 Kendall Sheffield TX 6-0/181 Cold
.929 Jordan Whitehead PA 6-0/180 Cold

Major news at corner as Frank Buncom IV picked up an offer from Notre Dame a week and a half ago. The St. Augustine star out of San Diego has Stanford with a big lead but that shows he's serious about academics. Once offered by the Irish he has been immediately interested and will be at this weekend's game on an official visit to see his top two teams battle it out.

Notre Dame is still in the mix for the nation's top corner in Iman Marshall as he released his 5 official visits. However, the favorite USC will be tough to beat as Marshall was back at the Coliseum this past weekend.

Micah Abernathy looks to be down to Georgia and Tennessee and is coming off a visit to Athens last weekend while he'll see Knoxville this weekend.

A curious flip from last week had (FL) Tyrek Cole .956 leave Florida State's class and join West Virginia's. He then proceeded to be suspended indefinitely from his high school team.

Check out Jordan Whitehead's college decision this Friday at 2:30 PM ET. He's down to Penn State, Ohio State, Pitt, and West Virginia while coming off his last visit to Happy Valley this past weekend.

Ole Miss continued their strong recruiting with the pickup of (TN) Cameron Ordway .888.

Safety
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.863 Hunter Dale LA 5-11/195 Mild
.894 Ben Edwards FL 6-0/196 Cold
.892 Kahlil Haughton TX 6-2/175 Cold
.961 DeChaun Holiday CA 6-2/195 Cold
.833 Denzel Johnson SC 6-2/187 Cold
.969 Marvell Tell CA 6-2/175 Cold

Notre Dame has offered a trio of safety recruits since our last update. The first is Hunter Dale from John Curtis High School.

He is the godson of former Irish tight end Irv Smith and Notre Dame should be in position for an official visit after his football season.

Notre Dame also offered Kahlil Haughton from Waco, Texas but we'll have some work to do to get into his top group.

The Irish also offered Michigan commit (OH) Tyree Kinnel .921 but he's been steadfast so far that he's sticking with the Wolverines.
