Michigan State went down into the South and picked up a commitment from (FL) Kaleel Gaines .855 in early August. According to the MSU folks he is being recruited by Narduzzi as a defensive back.

The last commit came from (AR) K.J. Hill .918 who stayed in-state and gave a verbal to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Please note that Hill still plans on taking all 5 official visits which includes South Bend for the Stanford game. He has shown interest in Notre Dame in the past but never followed through with talks about visiting before his senior season. We'll see if he goes on visits to Notre Dame as well as Ohio State, Florida, and Alabama in addition to Arkansas.

California prospect Ykili Ross remains a step above Mild on the temperature scale. He is being recruited as a corner by Notre Dame and will be taking an official visit for the Stanford game in a few weeks.
The most likely receiver to grab the last spot for Notre Dame remains Equanimeous St. Brown who still has the Irish near the top of his favorites.
Don't forget #NotreDame in the recruitment of Equanimeous St. Brown. If he wants to get away from home, that's the place.

The big news at tight end is that UCLA commit (NV) Alize Jones .973 visited Notre Dame for the Michigan game and is coming back for an official visit in December.

The nation's top tight end by a large margin is coming off an impressive 7 receptions for 149 yards and 2 touchdowns (including the game-winner) this past weekend in Bishop Gorman's win over Centennial.
One item of interest is that Devonaire Clarington has been playing a lot of defensive end this year and some project him to be more productive as a defender in college.

Arizona State commit (CA) Thomas Hudson .851 became the first Notre Dame tight end offer in 6 months when he was contacted by the Irish coaches 3 weeks ago.

While it's possible Hudson could play tight end for the Irish he is also being looked at in a H-back role or as a defender. The San Jose native playing at Archbishop Mitty is showing interest in Notre Dame so keep an eye on him for the future.

Not much to report at offensive line where Notre Dame continues to stay put with their 3 verbal commits. However, Jerry Tillery made yet another trip to LSU this past weekend. This coming after he visited Notre Dame for the Michigan game.

Elsewhere, it looks like Zach Robertson will be coming off the board soon. He is favoring UCLA but plans on visiting LSU, Michigan, and Arizona State.
