Coach Brian Kelly received his 11th verbal commitment for the 2015 class today from CB Nick Coleman (Dayton, OH - Archbishop Alter). He is listed at 6'0"/170 lbs.
Coleman verbally committed to the staff in person after his first visit to campus. The staff offered him at the end of May. He chose Notre Dame over offers from Michigan State, Duke, Indiana and Pittsburgh.
I just left South Bend Indiana and I'm grateful to say that I'm committed to the UNIVERSITY OF NOTRE DAME!!! #GoIrish

Impact:
Immediate Future:
Based on his size and the depth chart, it is most likely that Coleman would take a red-shirt in 2015. He likely needs to put on about 30 lbs given his frame for durability at the next level.
Long Term/Career:
Given his highlight reel, I can begin to understand the limited offers right now because the majority shows him at running back. That being said, I can also understand why the staff offered him a scholarship. He is probably best fit as a corner in college, but will definitely contribute on special teams (possible punt returner) and could play on offense if needed. He has really good size for a corner and plays with some swagger-a necessary trait to play in Brian VanGorder's primarily man-to-man system.
Overall, the Irish are getting a versatile athlete who can potentially contribute in several ways.
Welcome to Notre Dame Nick!
