LOOKS LIKE O-LINE RECRUITING IS WRAPPED UP, FOLKS

Welcome to the latest update to the Recruiting Big Board. If you missed last week's update at quarterback, running back, and athlete you can read it HERE. Today, we take a look at the three other positions on offense.

Wide Receiver
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.918 Miles Boykin IL 6-4/212 Mild
.950 Cordell Broadus NV 6-2/195 Mild
.956 Equanimeous St. Brown CA 6-5/205 Mild
.990 George Campbell FL 6-3/184 Cold
.877 Michael Chigbu LA 6-2/211 Cold
.844 Kaleel Gaines FL 6-0/175 Cold
.891 K.J. Hill AR 6-1/175 Mild
.982 Christian Kirk AZ 5-11/197 Cold
.835 A.D. Miller TX 6-4/175 Cold
.912 Ryan Newsome TX 5-8/175 Mild
.965 Alex Ofodile MO 6-3/185 Mild
.901 Ykili Ross CA 6-2/185 Cold
.880 C.J. Sanders TN 5-9/177 Cold
.938 Carlos Strickland TX 6-5/194 Cold

The latest player to commit is (FL) Calvin Ridley .980 who signed up with Alabama following their spring game.

Notre Dame's most recent offer was sent out to A.D. Miller, a lanky prospect from Bishop Dunne. The Irish have made nice inroads with that school after signing Nick Watkins so we'll see if things heat up with Miller in the future.

Things have been trending nicely with Boykin but since our last update he's been offered by Florida, Ohio State, Michigan, and Missouri. He also visited Michigan, Ole Miss, and Michigan State recently. Notre Dame is still presumed to be one of his leaders along with Illinois and Michigan State, though. Boykin participated in the Chicago Rivals camp over the weekend and earned MVP honors and a Rivals 5-star Challenge invite as well.

St. Brown visited Stanford for their spring game earlier last month.

One of the recent players invited to The Opening is K.J. Hill. He was supposed to visit for the spring game but wasn't able to make it. We'll see if he makes it up for the summer.

A recent interview with Christian Kirk had him saying he's the No. 1 receiver on the coaching staff's board and he's become a huge priority. Kirk isn't thinking about a top 10 until the summer.

Ryan Newsome wasn't able to make it to Notre Dame during the spring but there's been some encouraging news since then. He has set an official to Notre Dame for the Michigan game and may still visit for camp in June.

One of the visitors this spring was Alex Ofodile and that went well. He was supposed to visit again before making a decision next month but has said he's shutting it down. Most of the experts have him picking his home-state Missouri Tigers.

Tight End
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.947 Devonaire Clarington FL 6-6/222 Cold
.942 Chris Clark CT 6-6/247 Cold
.926 Will Gragg AR 6-4/245 Cold

In not very susprising news Chris Clark left North Carolina's class since our last update. He'll likely make another round of visits at some point and Irish coaches were at his school last week. I don't expect Clark to ultimately end up at Notre Dame so the tight end net is likely going to be enlarged in the coming months.

Offensive Line
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.850 Mike Arnold FL 6-5/280 Cold
.964 Matthew Burrell VA 6-5/290 Cold
.997 Martez Ivey FL 6-6/270 Cold
.908 Zach Robertson CA 6-5/308 Mild
.887 Reno Rosene CA 6-7/340 Mild

Notre Dame added its third offensive linemen commit on April 23rd as Trevor Ruhland jumped aboard after being offered a couple weeks prior. It looks like the staff is going to sit on 3 verbals for this cycle. I'd expect them to keep in contact with several targets but not do much work beyond that.

Our rival USC scored a big coup by picking up the commitment of (GA) Chuma Edoga .986 a couple of weeks ago. Just another 5-star for the Trojans.

Another player off the board occurred right after our last update. The Clemson Tigers picked up a verbal from (FL) Jake Fruhmorgen .966 which gives their program two of the top tackles in the country right now.
