Welcome back the OFD Recruiting Big Board. A month ago we published our first look at the quarterback, running back, and athlete positions and today we are circling back with a second glance and new update.
The big news since our last update was the commitment of St. John Bosco quarterback Josh Rosen. As the top signal-caller and 4th overall prospect in the country he gave his pledge to the UCLA Bruins as expected.

Towards the latter part of 2013 the electric athlete Torrance Gibson was high on Notre Dame's radar. However, with Blake Barnett already on board the Irish aren't doing much recruiting at quarterback right now. For the record, Gibson did not overly impress as a passer in a recent all-star showcase which echoes many scouting reports on the Florida athlete.
Gibson has packed in a lot of visits over the past 5 or 6 weeks making it to Miami, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Clemson, and Tennessee.
Kyler Murray visited Texas A&M last month (the Aggies look like the favorite) and he has a trip planned to Oregon in April. He'll destroy defenses in either of those systems. He's the quarterback of recent Irish commit Jalen Guyton.
Michigan State commit Jayru Campbell entered a not guilty plea in court earlier in March from his assault charge stemming from slamming a school security guard. His scholarship offer with the Spartans still hangs in the balance.

The newest offer for Notre Dame at this position is McKinney North's Ronald Jones II. He was extended an offer just last Thursday by the Irish. He's saying all the right things (likes Tony Alford, big fan of Notre Dame, etc.) but probably won't be able to make it to South Bend until the summer. The door is open but the competition will be fierce with his elite offer list.
