The Big E College Football Picks: Week 15

GameDay is in Waco this weekend.

Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

e

We have arrived at the final week of our pick 'em league. Thanks to everyone who participated and made their picks every week. I hope this brought some entertainment to you throughout the season.

LEAGUE STANDINGS

Congratulations to ajg4nd for leading the way last week with a record of 13-8. It was a rough week as only 7 participants finished with records over .500 last time around. Heading into the final week FigThings aka NDZibby holds a 3-game lead over ya boy. Can a miracle comeback be made? Or will Zibby copy my picks knowing the third and fourth place contestants won't jump him with a shorter final week schedule? Play it straight up, Zibby!

Big E: 148-109 (2nd Place)

Now for the final picks of the 2014 season...

No. 7 Arizona (+14.5) at No. 2 Oregon [Levi's Stadium]

Pick: Arizona

Oregon will attempt to get their revenge for their only loss of the season. That defeat at home on a Thursday night saw the Ducks as heavy favorites by over 20 points. The line for this one has come down considerably compared to that regular season meeting. But is it far enough? With the game being played in the 49ers new stadium I'll take the points.

Iowa State (+34) at No. 3 TCU

Pick: TCU

This is really hard to do but the Frogs have scored at least 30 points in every game this season. I shouldn't be surprised if they drop 50 on the Cyclones and TCU can't afford to have this be a let down game with a playoff spot on the line. I expect them to be sharp and unmerciful.

Oklahoma State (+21) at No. 20 Oklahoma

Pick: Oklahoma State

Have we been talking enough about Okie Light's bad season? They've lost 5 in a row and a defeat at the hands of Oklahoma would give them their most for a season in nearly a decade. My feeling here is that the rivalry will make this closer than we think, plus the Sooners really don't have a ton to play for right now.

No. 1 Alabama (-14.5) at No. 16 Missouri [Georgia Dome]

Pick: Alabama

A win by Missouri would be shocking even if they are 10-2. Somehow they've only faced on current ranked team (lost that game 34-0) and made it to the the SEC title game. I originally thought Alabama might be a little sleepy for this having played 3 ranked teams in the last 4 weeks but I think they'll roll all over the Tigers.

No. 9 Kansas State (+7.5) at No. 6 Baylor

Pick: Kansas State

The Bears have 4 wins over K-State since 2006 and 3 of those were relatively close games. Bryce Petty has said he'll play after suffering a concussion last week. Bill Snyder probably has wizard things prepared to slow down that Baylor offense. There's a lot of pressure on the Bears and I like K-State's role as a spoiler here, at least to keep the game tight.

No. 4 Florida State (-4.5) at No. 11 Georgia Tech [Bank of America Stadium]

Pick: Florida State

Everyone is picking Georgia Tech to at least cover, if not outright upset the Noles. I'm going the other way. I like the FSU defense matchup up against the Tech option.

No. 13 Wisconsin (-4) at No. 5 Ohio State [Lucas Oil Stadium]

Pick: Ohio State

Somehow, someway the Buckeyes are going to win their first conference title under Urban Meyer. I don't think Wisconsin's quarterback situation makes the loss of J.T. Barrett crippling for Ohio State. Meyer's going to manufacture some offense and grind out a win.

Fresno State (+21) at No. 22 Boise State

Pick: Fresno State

Boise only won this matchup back in the middle of the season by 10 points on the blue turf. Their offense has been on fire since averaging 53.2 points per game but you know what they say about having to beat a team twice in one season.

Navy (OFF) at Army [M&T Bank Stadium]

Pick: Navy

This game isn't until next week so I won't get a look at a spread before locking in my pick. Navy is looking for their 13th straight win in the rivalry. I hope they cover!
