The Big E College Football Picks: Week 14

College GameDay is back at Alabama again.

Mike Carter-USA TODAY Sports

e

It's the last full week of the regular season and our second to last week of picks. The. Pressure. Is. On.

LEAGUE STANDINGS

Congratulations to TheVoice of NDNation for leading Week 13 with a record of 19-3. That's an absolutely dominating performance. Our overall leader by a single game is iNDy_Verballer who sits at 140-96 this late in the season.

Big E: 139-97 (3rd place)

Let's get to this week's games...

Western Kentucky (+23.5) at No. 24 Marshall

Pick: Western Kentucky

WKU has an awful defense but they can also score a lot of points. If this game gets shootout-y I'll take the points and see if Marshall can pile up a huge lead.

Arkansas (-3) at No. 17 Missouri

Pick: Missouri

Arkansas has looked super impressive in recent weeks thus they are road favorites against ranked Missouri. My bet here is that the Hogs simply cannot continue playing so well. It has to end at some point.

Navy (-9) at South Alabama

Pick: Navy

I usually pick Navy.

No. 13 Arizona State (+2.5) at No. 11 Arizona

Pick: Arizona State

The Cats are right on the precipice of having their best season in 15 years. Rich Rod has done good things but I've got a feeling they just aren't quite there as a program.

Stanford (+5.5) at No. 8 UCLA

Pick: UCLA

UCLA is playing really well right now. I have little faith in Stanford's ability to keep swinging against the Bruin offense. A sizable two touchdown or more victory wouldn't surprise me.

Colorado State (-7) at Air Force

Pick: Colorado State

How many are aware that Air Force is 8-3 right now? This is a heck of a game outside of the major conference. Let's hope Jim McElwain can defend the Falcon offense.

South Carolina (+4.5) at No. 21 Clemson

Pick: Clemson

Chad Morris is taking the SMU job and as I type this I'm assuming this will be his swan song with the Tigers.

Michigan (+21) at No. 6 Ohio State

Pick: Michigan

My feeling is that Michigan is going to play really well and give the Bucks a lot of trouble. Can you imagine a win by Brady Hoke here?

No. 16 Georgia Tech (+13) at No. 9 Georgia

Pick: Georgia Tech

Anyone dreading facing the Yellow Jackets triple option next year?

Kentucky (+13.5) at No. 22 Louisville

Pick: Louisville

Sufficiently impressed with Louisville's offense last week.

Florida (+7.5) at No. 3 Florida State

Pick: Florida State

Driskel is playing, right? It seems as though there's enough chatter of the Gators making this a game. But Driskel, right?

No. 10 Michigan State (-13.5) at Penn State

Pick: Michigan State

Hmm, this seems like a lot of respect for Penn State. I can't see their offense doing much against the Spartans. They better hope for some Happy Valley home field advantage or something.

No. 18 Minnesota (+14) at No. 14 Wisconsin

Pick: Minnesota

We'll be watching to see how close Melvin Gordon can get to Barry Sanders' record. Too many points, though.

Notre Dame (+7) at USC

Pick: Notre Dame

I'm picking a Trojan win but an Irish cover.

No. 4 Mississippi State (-2.5) at No. 19 Ole Miss

Pick: Miss State

The workings of college football kind of point to a Miss State loss here, don't they? It would open the door to another conference making the playoff and would also include the Bulldogs not going 11-1, which is cray. I still think Ole Miss has lost all their swag.

No. 7 Baylor (-25) at Texas Tech

Pick: Baylor

It doesn't look like Baylor can jump TCU in the playoff poll despite beating them head-to-head. That won't stop them from piling up all the style points this weekend.

Kansas (+27.5) at No. 12 Kansas State

Pick: Kansas State

The Wildcats are going to run the ball with such ferocity after watching what Oklahoma did last week.

BYU (+4) at California

Pick: California

So this is a game this week? Cal quietly improved a lot this season while BYU took a step back with all their injuries.

No. 15 Auburn (+9) at No. 1 Alabama

Pick: Auburn

This is a risky pick because Alabama has played lights out at home this year. The Iron Bowl has a rivalry factor of "11" though and might actually make Auburn play some defense.

No. 2 Oregon (-19.5) at Oregon State

Pick: Oregon

Aside from beating ASU a while back Oregon State has been pretty crappy this season. Weird things can happen in this rivalry but Mariota takes another step towards the Heisman.

Utah State (+9) at No. 23 Boise State

Pick: Utah State

Utah State straight up, that's my bold and final pick.
