Just to be safe we need another safety this cycle. Okay, that was a terrible sentence I'm sorry.

Welcome back to another edition of the One Foot Down Recruiting Big Board for Irish Football.

Outside Linebacker
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.968 Porter Gustin UT 6-5/240 Mild
.956 Jeffery Holland FL 6-2/230 Cold
.982 John Houston CA 6-3/211 Cold
.993 Malik Jefferson TX 6-2/215 Cold
.973 Osa Masina UT 6-4/230 Cold
.868 Arthur McGinnis LA 6-2/226 Cold
.924 Adonis Thomas GA 6-3/229 Cold

The big news about a month ago was the commitment of (LA) Bo Wallace .872 as a much needed pass rushing specialist for the Irish recruiting class. After questions about the wasted effort of recruiting in Louisiana the 2015 class now has verbals from 2 Bayou State athletes.

Notre Dame was in the early running for (AZ) Cassius Peat .890 but he gave a verbal to the UCLA Bruins in the middle of last month.

Another player the Irish were heavily involved in at one time was (GA) Adonis Thomas .924 who recently left Florida's class and has opened up his recruitment. Thomas recently was invited to the Under Armour All-American Game and has set official visits to LSU and Alabama.

It's now been 2 months since Porter Gustin took his official visit to Notre Dame. The Utah product was supposed to be in Tempe this past weekend. The favorite USC will be receiving an official visit later this month.

John Houston is another elite player who appears to favor USC. However, he was at the Arizona State game this past weekend as well and will be visiting Miami this weekend in addition to a trip to Los Angeles and Norman later this year. We incorrectly listed Houston as an inside linebacker during last week's Big Board. That leaves zero MLB's that are being recruited by Notre Dame now.

Texas is trying to keep Malik Jefferson in-state with the Longhorns but they are still in a dog fight. He was at Ohio State recently and visited LSU this past weekend. Jefferson will go to Texas A&M this weekend and was another player to receive his invite to the Under Armour Game.

Osa Masina hasn't taken any visits in about a month and cancelled a visit that was planned to Wisconsin. He has an official lined up to USC later this month.

Corner
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.944 Frank Buncom IV CA 6-1/190 Mild
.947 Holton Hill TX 6-2/184 Cold
.997 Iman Marshall CA 6-1/190 Mild
.991 Kendall Sheffield TX 6-0/181 Cold

Tennessee's hot recruiting continues as they picked up (GA) Micah Abernathy .919 back in early October.

The defending champs added to their spoils recently as (FL) Tarvarus McFadden .985 picked the Seminoles 10 days ago. If you don't like the hat game DO NOT WATCH!

A bit of a surprise in early October as (PA) Jordan Whitehead .930 had the experts thinking he'd pick Penn State coming off a visit to Happy Valley but he stayed local and committed to Pittsburgh instead.

Recently, California's Frank Buncom was accepted to Stanford. That might be the tipping point that ends up landing him on the Farm.

Iman Marshall has said he'll take an official visit to Notre Dame and it could be next weekend for the Louisville game. We'll see if that actually takes place.

Safety
Score Player State Ht/Wt. Temperature 1* 2* 3* 4* 5*
.863 Hunter Dale LA 5-11/195 Mild
.889 Ben Edwards FL 6-0/196 Mild
.891 Kahlil Haughton TX 6-2/175 Mild
.962 DeChaun Holiday CA 6-2/195 Cold
.833 Denzel Johnson SC 6-2/187 Cold
.969 Marvell Tell CA 6-2/175 Cold

A month ago Notre Dame offered (GA) Rashad Roundtree .954 but he recently committed to the Georgia Bulldogs with some straight pimpin' attire.

Notre Dame offered Hunter Dale a couple months ago as they begin the search for one more safety to finish this class. The Irish are hoping he visits next weekend for the Louisville game.

One prospect who is coming for that Louisville game is Ben Edwards from Trinity Christian in Jacksonville. He's already been a member and left Ohio State and Auburn's classes this year so be aware of some flight risk.

Marvell Tell recently received his U.S. Army All-American invite and will be taking an official to Texas A&M later this month. He's deciding on National Signing Day and is not considering Notre Dame.

Notre Dame offered Kahlil Haughton back in September and are pursuing him very hard. He was at the Oklahoma-Baylor game this past weekend.

Haughton has already been to Nebraska and Arkansas in addition to his trip to Oklahoma. He is planning to visit Texas Tech this weekend which leaves room for one more official visit. The Irish really, really want him to come to South Bend with that final trip.
