While Notre Dame already held their home opener against Temple, this weekend's game against Michigan State marks the first game for several visitors heading to campus. This is the first installment of a season-long series detailing the recruiting visitors to South Bend for each home game.

Unofficial Visitors (7):

Committed Players

LB Jonathan Bonner - Chesterfield, MO (Parkway Central)

WR Justin Brent - Speedway, IN (Speedway)

Uncommitted Players

S/LB Drue Tranquill - Fort Wayne, IN (Carroll)

QB Jack Beneventi (2015) - Glen Ellyn, IL (Benet Academy)

LB Justin Hilliard (2015) - Cincinnati, OH (St. Xavier)

ATH Justin Tranquill (2015) - Fort Wayne, IN (Carroll)

QB Noah Wezensky (2016) - Fort Wayne, IN (Bishop Luers)

  • Drue Tranquill is currently committed to Purdue and watched the Irish play in West Lafayette last weekend. The staff is recruiting him as a linebacker, but he is listed as a safety by the services. He will be accompanied by his younger brother (Justin), a 2015 prospect.
  • Beneventi appears to be the top QB choice for the staff from the 2015 class and will likely make a decision in the spring.
  • Hilliard is already highly recruited by most major programs, as he is a Top 50 prospect from the 2015 class.
  • Wezensky attends the same high school as Irish Freshman OLB Jaylon Smith and is drawing attention from several Big Ten programs.
