Impact:

Immediate Future:

In order for Trumbetti to play DE in Bob Diaco's 3-4 defense, he will have to get up to 290+ lbs, so it isn't likely that he steps on campus as a freshman and sees the field. Time spent in the weight room, film room and adjusting to the college game will help his development.

Long Term/Career:

Looking at his highlight film, it is clear that he is a dominant player at the prep level at several different positions. He played inside and outside on the defensive line, offensive tackle and even some tight end for good measure. He has some natural pass rushing skills, showing multiple pass rushing moves. He definitely has the size, skills and athleticism to play the position once he learns the nuances. Overall, a great addition to the program and he should have a productive career in South Bend.

Welcome to Notre Dame Andrew!
