Notre Dame - Louisville Open Thread

The Irish host 11th-ranked Louisville tonight at the Purcell Pavilion and look to get back on track after a clunker at Syracuse. Watch with us here!

The Irish are having an up-and-down Big East season and need a win like this if they are to be invited to the big dance in March. All eyes will be on the Purcell Pavilion tonight (9 EST) to see them take on Rick Pitino's Louisville Cardinals as the four-letter network's Gameday featured event.

Notre Dame has been absurdly good at home in recent years, but after two losses this season already, they might be fighting against a little regression to the mean. A win against a tough foe in this spotlight is a huge chance to re-assert their home dominance.

There is no overstating the importance of this game for Notre Dame to get a huge win under their belts in what has become a disjointed and underwhelming performance thus far.

Come chat with us as you watch Eric Atkins and the Irish look to put together a more complete performance and knock off Louisville!

As always, keep it clean in the comments.

Series note: This has been a thoroughly entertaining rivalry in recent years as well, as 4 of the last 5 games between the Cardinals and the Irish have gone into overtime.
