According to tWWL this tidbit came to them via league sources.
Kelly met with the Eagles on Tuesday, and there was mutual interest after the interview, according to league sources. Kelly left the country after meeting with the Eagles and could not be reached for comment. The Eagles and Kelly have agreed to revisit talks when he returns this weekend, according to league sources.
Relax! We had already started to hear rumblings last weekend that Notre Dame and Coach Kelly would very likely be working on a contract extension to keep him in South Bend long term following the BCS Championship Game. I take his interviewing with the Eagles as nothing more than standard negotiation tactics.
The Twitterz are blowing up and some are concerned about the current players and recruits. Just give this a few days to play out. I suspect that we will all be very happy with the final outcome.
Here are a couple of Tweets that will help to make you feel better in the short term.
A Notre Dame source tells me that the expected result of Kelly's NFL flirtation is a raise and an extension.

Spoke with one NFL source that thinks this is a standard negotiating tactic. Heard that ND and Kelly's agent were already talking new deal.
