The Big E College Football Picks: Lay Your Chips on the Table

Football season is just around the corner and that means the weekly feature 'The Big E College Football Picks' is about to emerge from offseason hibernation.

This season we'll be doing things a little differently in order to allow the readers more participation in the picks.

Instead of submitting picks in the comment section---which was hit or miss for a lot of people---we're going to use a Google Doc that makes picking the teams super easy.

Also, in the past we'd be picking up to as many as 15 games a week, but in order to make this weekly post more fan-friendly and manageable, we're going to knock that number down to 8 games per week so that the people who aren't the Big E are not overwhelmed with so many picks.

The process is easy.

Every Friday morning the picks will be published and you will have roughly 36 hours to fill out your picks before the games begin on the weekend. Remember, we only pick games on Saturday so there's no need to worry about the matches on Thursday or Friday or any other day.

The form below is exactly what you'll see during the season---and you even get a sneak peak at the Week 1 games and current spreads---so study up!

Just fill out the box with the handle you use on this site, check the box of the team you like against the spread, and click submit. That's it!

We'll tally the picks every week and publish a leaderboard on Tuesday.
