Impact:
Immediate Future:
Given his size and frame, it wouldn't be a surprise to see him getting reps at DE as a freshman. If he does play right away, it will likely be in a limited role at first and expand as the season goes on as his understanding of the system increases. He reminds a lot of people of Stephon Tuitt, given his position, size and home state. I think it is a fair comparison, but Tuitt was probably a bit more ready as a freshman.
Long Term/Career:
Rochelle does a lot of things well at the prep level-he gets off blocks well, wraps up the opposing ball carrier and shows some great power moves against opposing blockers. He also plays both ways in high school, which will aid his development on the defensive line at the next level. There are a few things I think he will need to work on to unlock all of his potential in college-he tends to play/tackle a bit high and refine his technique a bit on pass rushing.
Overall, he is an excellent DE prospect and should have a bright future in Bob Diaco's scheme.
Welcome to Notre Dame Isaac!
