Nothing like everyone limping to the regular season finishing line.

Well this was an ugly, ugly week.

Congratulations to alairish as he was the ONLY contestant to be over .500 on the week. He finished with a record of 5-3.

We still have to pick the bowl games but our regular season champion is Savannah_Domer who went 2-6 this week but it was enough to hold off a few others.

I will be still sticking to the same outline as always as the bowl games come. The picks will be on Friday morning for games through the next day (Saturday) through the following Friday.

Since the bowl schedule is whacky we'll have a small amount of games to pick the first and last Friday's of the postseason, with the 2nd being full and the 3rd being with about 18 games.

RECAP:

1) UCF 27 at Tulsa 33

Winner: Tulsa (-2.5)

41% picked correctly

A 54-yard punt return for a touchdown by Tulsa tied this game in the 4th quarter and the Golden Hurricane went on to win their first Conference USA title since 2005.

There are some whispers that UCF head coach may now retire.

2) Oklahoma State 34 at Baylor 41

Winner: Baylor (+4.5)

28% picked correctly

What if Baylor actually played defense this year? You have to admit their fundamentals on offense are as fine as any in the country.

Oklahoma State finishes the regular season at 7-5 and it looks like Gundy is seriously thinking about skipping town and possibly working at Tennessee. He just can't get away from that orange.

3) Oklahoma 24 at TCU 17

Winner: Oklahoma (-6.5)

78% picked correctly

TCU had double-digit wins every season from 2008 to 2011. They now finish their first season in a BCS conference with 7 wins.

Oklahoma missed out on a BCS bowl but did finish with a nice 10-2 season. They are rewarded with possibly the toughest matchup outside the major bowl games.

4) Boise State 27 at Nevada 21

Winner: Nevada (+8.5)

16% picked correctly

Ugh, the dreaded back door cover. Killed nearly all of us this week.

Just another 10-win season and conference title for Boise State.

5) Alabama 32 at Georgia 28

Winner: Georgia (+7.5)

28% picked correctly

We can only hope this is Bama's future.

6) Texas 24 at Kansas State 42

Winner: Kansas State (-10.5)

38% picked correctly

Texas finished 8-4 and just 5-4 in the Big 12 conference. Gee, Mack Brown...I don't know.

Great season for Kansas State as they finish 11-1 and get to face the Oregon Ducks in the Fiesta Bowl. Man, Snyder is going to have to hit the JUCO circuit real hard this offseason to reload after this 2012.

7) Florida State 21 at Georgia Tech 15

Winner: Georgia Tech (+13.5)

3% picked correctly

What the hell, Florida State?

The Seminoles went up 21-6 in the 1st half and then decided not to score at all in the second half. Against Georgia Tech. They didn't score a single point over 30 minutes!

Is this the most empty 11-win season in Florida State history?

8) Nebraska 31 at Wisconsin 70

Winner: Wisconsin (+2.5)

16% picked correctly

One GIF sums up this game perfectly.

This is great though, right? Wisconsin reaches the Rose Bowl---THE FREAKIN' PINNACLE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY IN B1G LAND---by going 8-5 this season.

Stanford you better not lose this Rose Bowl.

OPPONENT WATCH:

*Navy (7-4) was off last week and will face Army this Saturday to finish their regular season. The Middies have already accepted an invitation to play Arizona State in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.

*Purdue (6-6) finished their season last Saturday with a win over Indiana. The Boilers will face Oklahoma State in the Heart of Dallas Bowl---which apparently is a thing.

*Michigan State (6-6) also sneaked in to a bowl game. The Spartans will face TCU in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl.

*Michigan (8-4) accepted an invitation to the Outback Bowl and will face South Carolina.

*Miami (7-5) will sit out the posteason on a self-imposed ban.

  • UCLA 24 at Stanford 27

The Cardinal finish the season at 11-2 and a second-straight win over UCLA. The second was in the Pac-12 championship and sends the Cardinal to the Rose Bowl.

*BYU (7-5) finished up last weekend and will play San Diego State in the Poinsettia Bowl.

*Oklahoma (10-2) won the aforementioned game against TCU. They'll play Texas A&M in the Cotton Bowl.

  • Pittsburgh 27 at USF 3

Pitt finishes the regular season at 6-6 and will play Ole Miss in the Compass Bowl.

*Boston College (2-10) is terrible and is now trying to steal our defensive coordinator.

*Wake Forest (5-7) will not be going bowling either.

*USC (7-5) will cap off their terribly disappointing season with a game against Georgia Tech in the Sun Bowl.
