The Weekly Scoreboard: Tough Day For Michigan

Savannah_Domer won't give up his lead on this thing.

It was a very strong week from everybody with 19 people over .500 this past weekend.

Our week 13 leaders were pburns2010 and Trash Boat who led the way with 7-1 records.

So close to perfection!

Savannah_Domer went 6-2 and won't give up on his overall lead though.

1) Michigan 21 at Ohio State 26

Winner: Ohio State (-3.5)

41% picked correctly

Tough weekend for all Michigan fans. First, they lose to Ohio State and watch the Buckeyes finish an undefeated regular season---then later in the night they are subject to the Irish doing the same.

That'll be good for UM recruiting don't you think?

They're also witnessing the magical Denard offense limping to the finish line and a whole lot of nothing to back him up. Robinson finished with 122 rushing yards on just 10 carries, but Michigan could only muster a whopping -14 rushing yards on 17 more carries from not-Denard.

2) Georgia Tech 10 at Georgia 42

Winner: Georgia (-14.5)

84% picked correctly

Statistically this game looks super weird. The Bulldogs were out-gained by 47 yards, only converted 2 of 7 third downs, yet they blew out Ga Tech.

There's a lot of people thinking that Georgia is going to beat Alabama this weekend.

Who ya got?

3) Oregon 48 at Oregon State 24

Winner: Oregon (-9.5)

81% picked correctly

Nice bounce back game for the Ducks as they pile up 570 yards with 430 of those on the ground. Oregon won't play in the Pac-12 title game but they will have a good shot as anyone to finish No. 2 in the polls after the bowl season.

Oregon State has now lost 3 of their last 5 games and has a make up game with Nicholls State to play this weekend.

4) Oklahoma State 48 at Oklahoma 51

Winner: Oklahoma State (+6.5)

31% picked correctly

Great ending to this game with a Belldozer TD run to tie it and then a Brennan Clay beast mode TD run in overtime to win it for the Sooners.

Landry Jones completed 46 passes on 71 attempts and OU had 3 receivers go over the 100-yard mark in this game.

If Oklahoma beats TCU and Texas upsets Kansas State the Irish will have defeated the Big 12 conference champion.

5) Auburn 0 at Alabama 49

Winner: Alabama (-32.5)

47% picked correctly

I couldn't bring myself to watch it.

Thanks to Auburn's ineptitude the Crimson Tide now have the lead in points per game allowed over Notre Dame. Only a huge game from Georgia can get Notre Dame back in it.

6) Stanford 35 at UCLA 17

Winner: Stanford (-2.5)

84% picked correctly

Talks of conspiracy and giving up by UCLA. What intrigue from the Pac-12!

This game really didn't matter as these teams will meet again in the Pac-12 title game this weekend.

7) South Carolina 27 at Clemson 17

Winner: South Carolina (+3.5)

34% picked correctly

Kind of impressed with what South Carolina was able to do here, you guys. Just another game in which the SEC could have been taken down a peg and was not. Remember that.

The Gamecocks were without their starting quarterback and running back but still won. I can dig that effort.

8) Notre Dame 22 at USC 13

Winner: Notre Dame (-6.5)

78% picked correctly

Trojans held to their season low in points.

Now they don't want to go to a bowl.

Morale: decimated.

*Navy was idle and won't play until Saturday December 8th when they take on Army in Philadelphia.

Indiana 35 at Purdue 56

Nice finish to the season for the Boilers as they crawl back to 6-6 but it wasn't enough to save Danny Hope's job.

Michigan State 26 at Minnesota 10

State also crawls back to 6-6 and really they need to win their bowl game. What a terrible season it's been in East Lansing.

Fun fact: The Spartans held Minnesota to just 96 total yards.

Miami 52 at Duke 45

Miami finishes at 7-5 but will sit out the post-season. It'll be interesting to see what the temperature is for the Canes heading into next season.

BYU 50 at New Mexico State 14

The Cougars finish the regular season at 7-5 and they aren't ready to play 5 or 6 BCS teams a season. They will be going away from independence where they can win 9 and 10 games every season and feel better about themselves.

Rutgers 6 at Pittsburgh 27

Pitt beat Virginia Tech, Rutgers, and took Notre Dame to triple overtime. They also lost to a I-AA team and have won only 2 games in the Big East.

I don't think anyone is going to know what to expect from Pitt next year. They do play USF this weekend to finish their season so the Panthers could get to 6-6 on the season.

Boston College 10 at NC State 27

BC finishes with 2 wins on the season and the 2nd most losses in program history.

Spaz has been fired.

NC State finished 7-5 and apparently had enough of the Notorious TOB. Bad move by them, you watch.

Vanderbilt 55 at Wake Forest 21

Wake fans were not happy with Jim Grobe before, during, and after their loss to Notre Dame. Does the administration care though?

Wake finishes 5-7 which probably isn't even enough to make Grobe's seat slightly warm.

Early Lines for This Week's Big E Picks:

UCF (+1.5) at Tulsa (Conference USA title game)

Oklahoma State (-4.5) at Baylor

Oklahoma (-6.5) at TCU

Texas (+11.5) at Kansas State

Boise State (-8.5) at Nevada

Alabama (-7.5) at Georgia (SEC title game)

Florida State (-13.5) at Georgia Tech (ACC title game)

Nebraska (-2.5) at Wisconsin (Big Ten title game)
