Jarron Jones Verbals to Notre Dame

Jones already plays for the Irish in H.S.
Jones already plays for the Irish in H.S.

He was rumored to be high on Notre Dame in the aftermath of Schuttgate.

Now, Jarron Jones pulled the trigger.

He's Irish!

Jones, a defensive tackle from St. Thomas Aquinas in Rochester, New York is listed by Rivals at 6'7" 308 pounds.

Scary big, just like the line Kelly and Co. are building in South Bend.

Per Rivals, Jones is a 4-star prospect, 7th best DT, and the No. 78 player in the country.

Scout has him as a 5-star and 2nd best defensive tackle in the nation.

ESPN has Jones as a 4-star, 13th best offensive lineman, and No. 96 in the ESPNU 150.

If Jones' commitment sticks, it will be back-to-back cycles in which Notre Dame grabs the top player from New York State.

And seemingly each time under the nose of Penn State.

Let it always be that way.

Discuss this wonderful news and welcome Jarron!!
