Prosise Bolsters Secondary, Verbals to Irish

The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame continued their national recruiting on Thursday night, adding safety C.J. Prosise from Woodberry Forest, Virginia.

This brings the total number of verbals for the 2012 class to eight, with prospects from Virginia, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, North Carolina, California, Maryland, and Texas.

Prosise attends Woodberry Forest, a private boarding school, and while he doesn't play against great competition he has good size, great speed and outstanding balls skills.

Standing at 6'2" Prosise has the height this coaching staff prefers, and while he is officially listed at or around 190 pounds by the recruiting services, it is believed Prosise is 200 pounds already.

Only a 3-star recruit according to Scout (#29 safety), Prosise isn't quite a stud, but he fills a position of need and clearly has a lot of potential.

With four players in the secondary (not including Badger), this should allow the coaching staff to wait out one more elite corner or safety and also focus on filling the needs at running back and wide receiver.

Welcome to Notre Dame C.J.!!
