A day after inking a strong class topped off with Hawaiian All World Linebacker Manti Te'o Charlie Weis and his Notre Dame staff picked up a bonus signing from Manti's best friend and team mate receiver Roby Toma. Toma was scheduled to sign with UCLA on Wednesday but at the last minute he thought better of it and decided to joint Manti at ND. OG Sweatervest Rick Neuheisel is still fuming, but he can't wail too much since he'd already poached cornerback Marlon Pollard back from ND a couple of weeks prior. Toma is little dude at 5'9" and 160lbs but he won the "hands" skill competition at this year's Under Armor All American game so apparently he's more than a sidekick. He's a 3 star prospect on both Rivals and Scout that is described as deceptively fast (white kid) with a 4.45 time in the 40. But by far the coolest thing about the kid is that he rocks a mean mullet. So I'm thinking in uniform he's going to look like a miniature version of current Cubs reliever Jeff Samardzija. I hope to see him in the slot at ND a few years down the road. I'm sure that babbling Wax Mannequin Tom Hammond will have all kinds of interesting things to say about the little fella.
