Welcome back to the One Foot Down recruiting Big Board for Fighting Irish football.

Ohio State coaches were in to see Brendan Ferns in late April, plus the No. 2 ILB was back in Columbus recently for another visit. Ferns, who has been made a U.S. Army All-American, feels like one of the players like Nick Bosa who are only waiting to commit to Ohio State when Meyer feels it's most appropriate.
Clemson received another visit from Tre Lamar in April and the Tigers remain among his favorites. So too does Auburn.

One of Virginia's top players Jaquan Yulee earned an invite to The Opening last month. He stated late in April that he'll be coming out with a Top 10 soon.
This is typically the smallest position to get offers so will the Irish branch out at some point? With last years haul, and Coney or Barajas capable of playing inside, the need isn't that great. Factor in just 8 players currently with 4-star status and it's slim pickings.
The staff always loved UCLA commit (CA) Lokeni Toailoa .968 and lately USC has not backed off recruiting him. From the sounds of things Toailoa is still firmly with the Bruins.

Score | Player | State | Ht/Wt. | Temperature | 1* | 2* | 3* | 4* | 5* |
.936 | Daniel Bituli | TN | 6-3/235 | Cold
.874 | Cameron Brown | MD | 6-5/210 | Mild
.988 | Ben Davis | AL | 6-4/230 | Cold
.989 | Caleb Kelly | CA | 6-3/215 | Cold
Daniel Bituli is the top player in Tennessee and after a visit to Knoxville the Vols appear to lead. However, some Irish coaches were at his school recently and are still keeping tabs on Bituli.
Scott Booker has been making a tour down the East Coast and visited with Cameron Brown. He has a Top 10 which includes the Irish after a Junior Day visit in March. Brown also showed up to a recent Nike camp in New Jersey with Notre Dame gear on. Here's what he had to say about the Irish:
"My mom has been pushing Notre Dame since before I was getting recruited; she loves the name and everything about it. When I went there, it was great and the coaches are great, too. They have a strong brand of a football team, I love the school, l love the name of the Fighting Irish and everything about it. There are no negatives I've seen so far."
It's been a couple months since Notre Dame offered Ben Davis and I feel comfortable saying that the Irish will not be part of any serious conversations. His dad is Alabama's all-time tackles leader and he's been focusing heavily on the Tide with a recent visit to their spring game.

Caleb Kelly picked up offers from Ohio State and Georgia late last month. Don't forget Kelly will be coming to visit Notre Dame next month.
Some players enjoy the recruiting process and USC commit (CA) Mique Juarez .977 admitted as much recently in an interview. He's planning a trip to Notre Dame this summer but is really feeling UCLA.
The Irish are not giving up on another USC commit (MI) Daelin Hayes .948 who discussed Notre Dame while at The Opening workout in Chicago. He's dangling a visit to South Bend but hasn't made any firm plans yet.
