Horsemen

Outlined against the blue, gray October sky, the Four Horsemen rode again.

In dramatic lore they are known as famine, pestilence, destruction and death. And yet while these are their true identities, many other faces have adorned their visages throughout the ages. They have been known as Stuhldreher, Miller, Crowley and Laden. They have been known as Huarte, Snow, Eddy and Wolski. They have been known as MacAfee, Browner, Bradely and Montana. They have been known as Rice, Ismail, Watters and Heck. They have even been known as Quinn, Fasano, Fitzpatrick and Hoyte. They now ride again, with new aliases to hide their coming destruction. They are now known as Golson, Brown, Koyack and Smith.

They ride forward, tossing away the men of Stanford as though they were nothing more than saplings before a cyclone. Before a crowd of 80,000, huddled for warmth against the sleeting precipitation of South Bend, they wiped away the humiliation of years past, and seemed to signal a return to glory. All while on a black-green field of turf.

For though things may change; plays may be created, systems may evolve, heroes of old age may pass on, the Four Horsemen will always ride.
