Cooley Earns Honorable Mention

USA TODAY Sports

Jack Cooley recognized with an Honorable Mention on the AP All-America Team

Irish senior Jack Cooley was named as an Honorable Mention on this year's AP All-America team. The forward from Illinois averaged a double-double (13/10) over the course of the season. Illness slowed Cooley down towards the end of the season, and the team struggled to get him productive touches on the block, but this is a great recognition of a guy who improved dramatically in his time in South Bend and made himself a real force for the Irish.

This is a great feather in Cooley's cap to go along with his All-Big East first team selection. It is also a strong statement for the program that he is the 5th player in the last 6 years to earn at least a mention on the AP All-America team.
