The last full week of regular season games is upon us.
Congratulations to WhiskeyOFD and DomerDore for leading the way last week with 14-6 records. Our overall leader tjv has a 4-game lead coming into week 14.
Now for this week's games...
Iowa (+2.5) at Nebraska
Pick: Iowa
If you don't think Kirk Ferentz is working every last year of his contract you are dead wrong. Bo Pelini has notched 9 wins in every season at Nebraska and I'll say this is an outright upset by Iowa to prevent that streak from continuing.
Texas State (+7) at Troy
Pick: Texas State
I'm taking the road team with the better record.
Miami (-2.5) at Pittsburgh
Pick: Pittsburgh
It's going to be cold and snowy at Heniz Field. You know what that portends for the Canes.
Washington State (+16) at Washington
Pick: Washington
Wazzu has been a great story this year but I don't know if they can stop Washington's offense from dropping 40 or 50 in the Apple Cup.
Oregon State (+23) at Oregon
Pick: Oregon State
Oregon is limping to the finish line, this is a big rivalry game, and the Beavers can move the ball pretty well. I think that all adds up to OSU being able to cover.
South Florida (+27) at UCF
Pick: South Florida
Something tells me Aaron Lynch is going to make not one, but two tackles, and lead the Bulls to a glorious cover of the Fighting O'Leary's.
Duke (+5.5) at North Carolina
Pick: North Carolina
The Tar Heels have played well down the stretch and I think they quietly dominate this game.
Ohio State (-16) at Michigan
Pick: Ohio State
Buckeyes all day. Will there be any Michigan fans left in the stadium in the third quarter?
Minnesota (+14.5) at Michigan State
Pick: Minnesota
I think I'll call for MSU to look ahead to the league title game and struggle a little bit in this game.
Florida State (-27.5) at Florida
Pick: Florida State
This is obviously the biggest spread this rivalry has ever seen, right? That's a lot of points but seeing as how the Gators aren't likely to score more than a touchdown and a couple field goals (and that's being kind) the Seminoles only really need to drop 40 here.
BYU (-14.5) at Nevada
Pick: BYU
The Cougars get back on track with a big win in the desert.
Georgia (-3) at Georgia Tech
Pick: Georgia Tech
Without Aaron Murray I think the Yellow Jackets win this game outright for the first time since 2008.
Virginia Tech (+12.5) at Virginia
Pick: Virginia
The last hurrah for Mr. DGT ends with a tear-filled cover in a loss to Beamer Ball.
Penn State (+24.5) at Wisconsin
Pick: Penn State
I don't know this is too many points for my liking. I could be wrong but Wisconsin doesn't have much to play for and Hackenberg could catch fire tossing the rock to Robinson.
Idaho (+3) at New Mexico State
Pick: New Mexico State
Eh, who cares.
Alabama (-10.5) at Auburn
Pick: Alabama
The Tigers offense can give Alabama some fits but the Tide should pull away late in the game. I'm looking forward to this game though. It should be a great Iron Bowl.
Baylor (-12.5) at TCU
Pick: Baylor
After the death of Art Briles' brother his team rallies and plays much better than last week with a big win over the Frogs.
Notre Dame (+14.5) at Stanford
Pick: Stanford
The Cardinal cover.
Tennessee (-4) at Kentucky
Pick: Tennessee
The Volunteers are a lot better than Kentucky. I bet Tennessee avoids 8 losses in a season for the first time ever.
Clemson (+5) at South Carolina
Pick: Clemson
What' is the reason for Clemson being such a large underdog in this game? Someone can explain it to me but you're unlikely to convince me to take South Carolina.
Texas A&M (+4) at Missouri
Pick: Missouri
The Aggies can't stop anyone on defense and Missouri gets after the quarterback with the best of 'em. That's a recipe for disaster for Johnny Football's chances.
UCLA (+3.5) at USC
Pick: UCLA
The Bruins are going to struggle with USC's physicality and as long as the Trojans stay balanced on offense they should move the ball reasonably well. However, I really like Brett Hundley's playmaking ability. He'll make something happen to keep this real close.
Army (+6.5) at Hawaii
Pick: Hawaii
Army still has Navy to play after this and I bet they're not quite into this game mentally at 3-7.
