When you read what the members of ND's recruiting class say, you hear the word "family" a lot. They want to be a part of the Notre Dame family. That's all BS if, when things get confusing, Notre Dame walks away from them. We obviously don't know the whole story on this hoax yet, and Swarbrick may not either. But, one thing is clear: he's treating Te'o like one would treat a member of their family.

There are some PR professionals out there saying basically that this was Manti Te'o's problem and Notre Dame made it their problem with that press conference. I'm aware that this is meant to say that ND screwed up. Personally, I find it admirable as hell, and I don't really care what a bunch of people who hate ND anyway say about it.
