I was daydreaming about better times as well as what could have been when I started thinking about one of the most crucial crossroads in Notre Dame history, and how badly the Kevin White Administration flubbed it...

Remember 2004? After we went 6-6 and fired Mr. Willingham because he preferred to golf instead of recruit? I do, and I remember the top name on our list completely and utterly snubbed us when we were willing to throw the checkbook at him. Instead, we all know what happened after that with the Weis Regime.

While today Urban Meyer seems to have taken on a more negative connection then he had eight years ago, he is still one hell of a coach. Just out of curiosity, what would have happened had we hired Urban Decay in his prime? Would that have meant a national title in 2006? Well-publicized arrests? How about recruiting scandals or beating USC like a drum every year?
