Football recruiting not quite over yet
Davonte Neal, WR/DB/KR from Scottsdale AZ Chaparral HS is still weighing his options and Notre Dame is still in the mix. Apparently he has dropped Ohio St and Oklahoma from his list, but new Arizona HC RichRod is pursuing him strongly and two of Neal's HS teammates are going to U of A, so that may be ND's biggest competition. Getting him could help alleviate the pain of losing Greenberry or Darby. Clearly he is a big play guy that the team sorely needs.

From his dad's comments
It sounds like ND and UNC are the two leaders here. I really don’t know where Arkansas stands (just think about Petrino’s offense). Its hard for me to believe that a WR would want to play in RR’s offense since it is so run-heavy, but then again who knows.
Academics are important to the family, so I think that is part of the reason you see ND and UNC at the top right now. That being said, a lot can change in a week and a half—but I still like ND’s chances.
I don't tweet often--but when I do, you can be sure it isn't important.

I agree...
Every time I read a quote from Davonte’s Father…you get the impression that he personally really likes ND over the other schools. If it’s truly between ND and UNC…Papa Neal has noted that the impending sanctions at UNC is a concern.
This would sure give me a happy ending to the 2012 recruiting saga.
It's Davonte's decision, not dad's, and don't write off Arizona

Are saying Dad wants ND, Davonte wants Arizona.

Ridiculous to take shots at a teenager without any information...
that Craig Morgan guy is a royal d-bag. I feel for Davonte; these kids have no idea the global nature of what they are doing, they are pressured to do something big and probably thinks nothing of it other than it’s cool. Then he gets cold feet at the last second for the biggest decision of his life and the whole world is watching and calling him names. He’s probably a good dude who got caught up in the mess of recruiting.
He still should’ve shown up with an impromptu “i need more time” statement, but I still feel bad for him. Not for some d-bag reporter who ironically hates on recruiting while attending a recruiting event that writes his paychecks. Not some elementary school kids who got out of class for an hour.
I think there's mounting evidence
That Neal might not be a good dude….or at least has some….problems.
At the same time, yes that reporter is a d-bag.
With all that said, I still want Neal at Notre Dame. I want him here bad.
