Night night night night. I'm hearing next year's game at Notre Dame will be at night. Given Michigan's stated desire for a night game per year and the Big Ten's prohibition against having them in November, we could see a large number of M-ND matchups from here on out in primetime.
I'm a big fan of these night games, wonder if Swarbrick is looking to alternate USC/UM as an annual night game? Part of me selfishly would like to see a late Nov. game at night something about snow under the lights that seems cool, but our schedule doesn't usually lend itself to having strong opponents come to ND at the end of the year.

Interesting rumor...
I would guess that if it is going to be a night game, we wouldn’t hear anything official for a few months. I like the concept of one home night game/year.
I don't tweet often--but when I do, you can be sure it isn't important.

given how much they loved having one last year and how that’s ND’s biggest home matchup.

The Michigan AD confirmed there will not be a night game AT UM in 2012,
but he didn’t say anything about Michigan not playing in one at all and they do want a night game on their schedule.
Last year’s ND-USC night game was announced at the end of March.
I’d love to see ND pound Michigan this year under the lights. Please. Please, please, please.

Yeah
supposedly they wont play MSU or OSU at night, and the B1G has a rumored double secret rule against night games in November.
So basically their fans expect an annual night game v. either ND or Nebraska…if that’s all true and ND wants to keep playing home night games there could be a bunch of these going forward.

So I’m guessing Urban Meyer will be the first to break that rule and Mark Dantonio and Bret Bielema will complain about it?

I saw it mentioned in this thread at Mgo the other day. It isn’t an actual rule supposedly, but no one has / is doing it so there seems to be some question as to if this is another “gentlemens rule” type of thing.
But hopefully yes, I have enjoyed Urban ruffling the feathers – at the same time, watching Bucky blow them out mercilessly would also be a fun sight, so I’m just hoping to be entertained.
