Irish try and Tame Wildcats Tonight from Villanova
For the first time this season the Notre Dame Fighting Irish Men's Basketball team is ranked. Who would've thought us Irish fans would see the day this season, after the devastating injury to Tim Abromaitis, some more early season injuries and up and down play in against non-conference opponents. The day is here now though, where the team is ranked and on a roll. The Irish, winners of their last seven games travel to Villanova tonight to take on a Wildcats team that's season has been at least, tumultuous. Villanova is 11-14 overall, 4-9 in the Big East and is facing their worst record ever in their 10 seasons under Jay Wright. They will also be without starters James Bell and Maalik Wayns, which will make it a whole lot tougher for them. If the Notre Dame can keep their fantastic play going under the leadership of Junior, Jack Cooley and Sophomore, Jerian Grant, I see this team having a shot at a Big East Championship and an NCAA Tournament run. What are your thoughts?

Try???
They must have watched Star Wars before the game, because they said, “Do or do not, there is no try.”

They are on a roll
This has been a heck of run with 8 straight wins thus far. Who would’ve though that they would be tied for 2nd in the Big East after Abro goes down and it seemed like everybody was sick or hurt in the beginning of the year. I was talking with Irish Basketball beat reporter, Tom Noie on my Notre Dame internet radio show early in the season and he said that he didn’t think this team would be too great after Abro went down. I don’t think anybody though they would be this good

My co-host and I are only freshman in high school but I think we run a pretty good show all things considered. We have had on Notre Dame Basketball beat writer, Tom Noie, Football beat writer, Eric Hansen, and Basketball Play by Play man, Jack Nolan on. We are also talking with Reggie Brooks about coming on and are going to have Jay Bilas of ESPN on one of our two shows, we are not sure which yet. Listen in and call in!

Yes, this is very cool.
Do you want to go into sports journalism for a living, or are you just having fun right now?

I want to go into Sports Journalism but I am not exactly sure what I want to do yet. I write for NewJerseyNewsroom.com because I live in New Jersey, host the two radio shows, but I would love to be a play-by-play announcer for a living. I am going to be doing play-by-play part-time starting in a few weeks for the New Jersey Institute of Technology and their baseball team, which is a D1 college in New Jersey near where I live. The radio shows are just fun though, I don’ think of it as work.
