I got my lottery results tonight and I lost. Moreover, all my friends lost. I didn't realize that the 2500 student body tickets came out of the 17,000 the University said they had. So alumni were competing for 14,500 tickets. I'm not mad at the student body because you guys are there, living the dream, and indeed, the 2500 you got weren't near enough to cover your needs either, so a bunch of you got skunked too.
I am going through the stages of grief, i.e., denial, anger, bargaining, depression and I have yet to get to acceptance. I'm ticked off that places like Stubhub have so many tickets to sell at outrageous prices (how do they even get the tickets?), and those of us who live and die with our school can't get tickets.
I think I'm in the anger stage of grief. Anyone else want to vent?
