With the huge win over Stanford, Notre Dame continued to ascend the polls, gathering a few more first-place votes along the way.
Notre Dame benefited from South Carolina's loss and their big win to slide up to number five in this week's BlogPoll, accumulating the same number of first-place votes as Kansas State and Oregon combined. (Four. Florida had five, while Alabama continues to lead with sixty-two.) Notre Dame would be even closer to the number four spot if not for a gentleman named Husker Mike, who voted the Irish behind Stanford. BEHIND STANFORD.
Husker Mike is the worst.
