Hendrix to Play Against AFA?---Plus other News

It looks like we might finally see one of the young inexperienced quarterbacks this weekend.

Asked whether Hendrix or Golson would be playing, Kelly answered:

"We're gonna employ a special package with somebody but I'm not going to tell you who."

Everett Golson has been running scout team this week in an attempt to emulate the Air Force offense led by Tim Jefferson. It is probably unlikely that he will jump from scout team to under center on Saturday.

That likely means Andrew Hendrix will be seeing his first action of his career at Notre Dame.

Your thoughts?

Mine are: FINALLY.

In other news....

  • Tate Nichols had season ending surgery, as did Anthony Rabasa.
  • Danny Spond is healthy and should play against Air Force.
  • Jordan Cowart will play through the pain with his broken hand---let's hope he can snap decently.
  • There are lots of rumors of Chris Badger not returning to Notre Dame following the completion of his mission, although they appear to be false.
  • Kelly mentioned we might see a new punt returner this weekend---Cam McDaniel perhaps?
  • Don't be surprised to see Davaris Daniels hit the field against Air Force
  • The Dan Devine statue is being unveiled today to take his rightful place among the other legendary coaches who won national titles at Notre Dame.
  • Notre Dame will be wearing a lot of pink this weekend in support of breast cancer awareness.
