Week 3 National Preview- Morning Off
Has your significant other been on your case about being glued to the television the past two Saturdays? Don’t sweat it, the powers that be have got you covered this weekend. The early games are pretty bad and the mid afternoon games aren’t much better.
You can get caught up on things around the house and maybe even go full on Frank the Tank with a trip to Bed Bath & Beyond. Just be sure that you play your man card and get back in front of a TV for the night games.

ndIRISHlc19- Well played. I am glad to see one of our female readers make an appearance in the comments. We don’t get enough of that around here. I can also now prove to the wife that women who appreciate college football are not chupacabra. I owe you one!

I sent you this email right before I saw your take, so I will dump it here for grins"
Well, should be an interesting match up on the plains this Saturday. The Tech faithful will have emptied “the strip” and be in a lather. Vegas has established the Horns as a 3 point favorite and I fully expect it to be a close game.
This Texas team is very much a work in progress, especially on offense, they have looked less than stellar. The running game is still a mystery and the rookie QB is just that. Gilbert is staring down receivers and not seeing guys running down the field wide ass open. One positive is that he has not turned the ball over…..yet.
This is a very young team that has regularly rotated 12 true freshman into the first two outings.
If you watch the game, keep and eye on two freshman, Mike Davis at wide out and Jackson Jeffcoat at defensive end. They should be special in time.
Horns are getting way too many stupid penalties but hopefully this defense will give the offense time to grow. The D should be very good before it’s over.
Don’t know much about Tech. Watched a little of the SMU game but didn’t come away with a strong opinion one way or the other.
Potts certainly has a canon of an arm and he is now a veteran, but he appears to be cement footed and hopefully that ends up being problematic for him against Muschamp’s defense.
Mack is only 3-3 in the Hub and Tuberville’s record speaks for itself.
Should be a good one.
Bring on the torts!

mikemc69 Thanks for the data dump. I really do want to watch that game. I like that picture just because it reminds me of the classic post game interviews with Crabtree and Harrell. For some reason I found both to be hilarious and still remember them.
Crabtree had the classic “I dreamed it in my mind” and Harrell folllowed up with something to the effect of “Weee caaaaalll that play seeeeex.”
It could be a very interesting game on Saturday. I’m still pissed that it is being played at the same time the ND game is. Typical.

Will do. I will keep you posted on how that one shakes out. This is yet another big game for ND. Should be interesting to say the least.
